Today I want to share with you some of my favourite Irish skincare products because many of you are interested in shopping locally and buying quality Irish brands.
Supporting Irish and local brands is about more than buying Irish. It helps support the people, families and communities behind these businesses, while celebrating the creativity and expertise we have right here on our doorstep.
Kinvara Skincare is one of our customers’ favourites, with its Absolute Cleansing Oil and Active Rosehip Day Cream being two of its standout products. The cleansing oil gently removes make-up and daily impurities without leaving skin feeling stripped, while the Rosehip Day Cream provides lightweight hydration and nourishment. Together, they make a beautifully simple foundation for a daily skincare routine. I love that they are the first company to use dual language on their packaging, both Irish and English language. They proudly launched their new range of packaging this year. We think this is a fantastic move by an amazing Irish brand.
Holos is made in County Wexford and their hero product is Holos Love Your Skin Anti-Ageing Facial Oil. This gorgeous blend is packed with organic argan oil, rose, frankincense and palmarosa. It is designed to nourish, soften and hydrate the skin, while helping to smooth the appearance of fine lines. Just a few drops can leave skin feeling beautifully soft and looking radiant.
For something a little different, Ancestrol Cosmetics Original Tallow & Honey Balm is a multi-purpose option. Handmade in Ireland, this rich balm combines grass-fed tallow with honey and is designed to nourish and moisturise dry skin. It is deeply hydrating, suits all skin types and is especially good for combination skin.
Irish brand Vico have a beautiful range of soaps and deodorants that prove personal care doesn’t have to be complicated. All made using only natural ingredients and packaging that is recyclable.
Irish skincare has come a long way, and these brands are a fantastic reminder that we don’t always have to look further afield for quality, beautiful products.
