We at Loreto Kilkenny were delighted to welcome back our past pupils who achieved over 550 points in the 2025 Leaving Certificate to our annual Academic Awards ceremony, held in December. It was a wonderful occasion to celebrate the exceptional academic achievements of these former students, whose dedication, resilience and commitment to learning were evident in their outstanding results.

Our 2025 Leaving Certificate results maintained our consistently high standards.

Eight students in the year group achieved the maximum possible score of 625 points, demonstrating exceptional performance. In total, 36% of students earned 500 C.A.O. points or higher, reflecting a significant portion of the cohort reaching strong academic standards. Additionally, 9% of the students exceeded 600 points, showing that a notable group attained outstanding results. These figures highlight both the top achievers and the overall high level of achievement across the year group.

High levels of performance were evident across all abilities, with 85% of the class of 2025 proceeding to commence degree-level courses – placing Loreto among the top-performing schools in the country.

Similarly, our Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement result: significantly surpass national averages, both in top-grade attainment and participation in Higher Level courses.

We were also delighted to announce Tricia Nolan as our Alumna recipient.

We especially thank all who made the effort to travel back and be part of what was a lovely celebration in our school community.
