More than 2,700 people laced up in pink for Breast Cancer Ireland’s Very Pink Run in Kilkenny Castle Park.

The annual fundraising event continues to attract huge support, with 110,000 participants from more than 40 countries taking part since it began. To date, over €8 million has been raised for Breast Cancer Ireland, excluding funds raised during this year’s events.

Those who missed the Kilkenny and Dublin runs can still take part, with another Very Pink Run taking place at MTU Cork on September 6.

Funds raised support pioneering metastatic cancer research and national breast cancer awareness programmes.
