This week, members of the O’Donnell family from Threecastles , travelled to the Dunmore Wing of University Hospital Waterford, where they presented a cheque of €8,500 to the Waterford Hospice Movement.
The money was raised from a coffee morning which was organised and run by friends of Siobhán O’Donnell, and will go towards the Oak Ward. Eileen Morrissey thanked all who helped and supported the coffee morning, saying the response was incredible. Eileen also thanked the Kilkenny Observer newspaper for the publicity given to the worthy cause. The Kilkenny contingent also donated €600 to the Dungarvan Lady knitters to help them to continue crocheting their beautiful blankets for patients of The Oak Ward.
Sheila Quinn, Communications and fundraising Manager at Waterford Hospice thanked Siobhán’s family and friends for the most generous donation.
