Happy New Year to you all, I hope you had a good one. I am not ready for new years resolutions just yet so instead I thought I would look back on what trended in 2025.
So, let’s take a look, Magnesium was number one, we couldn’t keep it on our shelves. In particular, Magnesium Bysglyinate as this is commonly used to help relax and to get a good night’s sleep. Fortunately, this did work for many of you. I think this will continue to be a trend for 2026. Sleep is evading many of us.
Mushroom supplements like Lions Mane, Cordyceps, and Reishi were popular in 2025 but we saw a huge growth in the Mushroom Coffee Blends with many new products coming on the market. One of our most popular ones is Mushrooms For Life. They have several blends including Organic Lion’s Mane Focus Coffee. The combination of coffee, cardamon, vanilla, and Lion’s Mane makes for a delicious coffee. I got it for a gift for my son and he loved it. My colleague at work introduced me to it and now I plan to make this part of my weekly regime. It is perfect to add to water, juice, yoghurt or breakfast cereal. I worry sometimes about health trends, for example in 2025, it was adrenal fatigue. Yes, many people could have it but one supplement as suggested by social media is not going to be the be all and end all of solving this problem. The long-term solution is to take a look at the diet and lifestyle, in particular relaxation, breathing and making time for one self. Supplements can then support a healthy body. Adrenal fatigue shouldn’t be treated lightly, so I am happy when someone calls in to see us for more in-depth advice on these topics.
We ended the year with a new powdered supplement from an Irish brand called Pure Craic. The focus of the product is to help increase energy, focus, and wellbeing without stimulants. It’s early days, but the feedback has been very positive.
