The National Off-Licence Association (NOffLA) has announced the winners of its annual Off-Licence of the Year Awards which is now in its twenty-sixth year – and The Wine Centre, Kilkenny has been crowned Leinster Off-Licence of the Year, 2022!

NOffLA was established in 1991, and represents independent specialist off-licences across Ireland, with the sector representing close to 6,000 jobs. The Awards recognise and showcase the excellence of independent off-licences and highlight retailers that offer exceptional service to customers and demonstrate excellence in retail standards.

Judging for the Awards involves an examination of over 100 aspects of each entrant’s business with the process being tweaked this year to align with the Government’s Covid-19 guidelines.

Dante, store manager was quick to praise the team at The Wine Centre ‘We are delighted to have won Leinster off-licence of the year! We have a small, dedicated and extremely hard-working team here at The Wine Centre, and this award hopefully goes some way to recognising that.’

The Wine Centre first opened its doors on John Street in 1965 and has been renowned for their dedication to customer service and excellence in product selection ever since. They provide personalised, specialist advice and expertise to customers, whatever the budget. One of the key differences between The Wine Centre and other off licences and supermarkets, is the depth of knowledge of its staff and an extensive collection of award winning brands from around the world covering wine, spirits and craft beer – as well as exclusive products you won’t find anywhere else that are available both in-store & online via their webstore at www.thewinecentre.ie
