One of the South East’s most popular summer events is set to return on Sunday, July 12th, as the Kilkenny Country Music Festival brings a star-studded line-up of country music favourites to Gowran Park Racecourse.
Running from 1pm to 7pm, the festival promises an afternoon of live music, dancing and family entertainment in the beautiful surroundings of Gowran Park.
This year’s line-up features some of the biggest names in Irish country music, including Derek Ryan, Robert Mizzell, Gerry Guthrie, Stacey Breen, Louise Morrissey, Alistair Fingleton and Kelan Browne.
Whether you’re a lifelong country music fan or simply looking for a great friends or family day out, there will be something for everyone. A large dance floor will provide plenty of room for dancers to jive, waltz and quickstep their way through an afternoon of top-class entertainment, while families can enjoy a range of activities for younger visitors.
Located just ten minutes from Kilkenny City and the M7 motorway, Gowran Park is ideally positioned to welcome visitors from across Kilkenny and the wider South East. Festival-goers can avail of ample on-site parking, on-site bars and food facilities, while a paid shuttle bus service from Kilkenny Castle will operate on the day, with departures at 12 noon and 1pm.
Over the years, the Kilkenny Country Music Festival has become much more than a music event. It has grown into a celebration of community, bringing together friends, families and country music enthusiasts from across the region for a day of music, dancing and good cheer.
With tickets priced at just €30, and children under 12 admitted free when accompanied by an adult, the festival continues to offer exceptional value and remains one of the most accessible family events of the summer.
For those looking to make the day even more of an event, organisers have introduced an adults-only Premium Level experience. Priced at €80, the Premium ticket offers a less hectic atmosphere, elevated views of the stage and VIP treatment. Premium ticket holders enjoy delicious grazing platters, access to a private bar and one of the best vantage points in the venue from which to enjoy a full afternoon of music and dancing.
With a superb line-up, excellent facilities and a céad míle fáilte, all the signs point to another memorable day at Gowran Park.
The Kilkenny Country Music Festival takes place on Sunday, July 12th, from 1pm to 7pm.
