The service users in the IWA have had the privilege of having the ‘Mobile Music Machine’ visit which is a group of the finest musicians from Ireland who played a number of concerts for them over the past 12 months. Covid care concerts were created by Gerald Peregine who plays the cello. The concerts bring the best of Irish talent to nursing homes and disability settings to lift the spirits of the clients and service users throughout the pandemic. The IWA were lucky to have Mary Coughlin perform for them last Thursday, December 16th. The musicians and Mary Coughlin were very generous with their time and played some beautiful classical music, well known hits and Christmas songs. The concert was performed to the IWA service users in the centre on the College Road and those who could not be there joined in on Zoom. The service users were extremely happy with the performance which was a lovely way to end the year. A presentation was made and a hamper and gifts were given to the musicians to say thank you for the concerts they have performed in the IWA throughout the year.
