Made in Kilkenny Opens 16th Annual Christmas Pop-Up Shop in New Location on The Parade

Made in Kilkenny is delighted to announce the opening of its 16th annual Christmas Pop-Up Shop, taking place this year in a brand-new location — the former KBC Bank building on The Parade, right in the heart of Kilkenny city. The shop will open daily from Saturday, 29th November until Christmas Eve, from 10am to 6pm.

As part of Yulefest Kilkenny, the pop-up shop forms a key element of the city’s festive offering, bringing the very best of local craft to seasonal shoppers and visitors. This year’s venue places Made in Kilkenny at the centre of the city’s Christmas celebrations, offering increased visibility and an exciting new setting for both makers and customers.

The 2025 pop-up brings together 18 professional craft makers, showcasing the exceptional quality and creativity for which Kilkenny is known. Visitors can explore an inspiring selection of work from renowned local makers including Jerpoint Glass, Moth to a Flame Candles, Lydia Smith Ceramics, Gráinne Watts, Cushendale Woollen Mills, Friederike Grace, alongside many others. From handblown glass and artisan candles to contemporary ceramics, vibrant textiles, and beautifully crafted jewellery, the collection offers a thoughtful and unique choice of gifts for the festive season.

As part of this year’s offering, Made in Kilkenny will also present a special display celebrating the history of craftsmanship in the city, including the legacy of the Kilkenny Design Workshops, the formation of Made in Kilkenny, and Kilkenny’s recent designation as a World Craft City and Region. This installation highlights the county’s longstanding and internationally recognised commitment to excellence in craft.

With its central new location and exceptional range of locally produced work, the Made in Kilkenny Christmas Pop-Up Shop offers the perfect opportunity to support local makers this Christmas.
