Gowran on the Move brought the village together in fine fashion last weekend, hosting their first Easter Fun Day at the new playground in Gowran and by all accounts, it was well worth the trip.
Families turned out in force to enjoy a packed programme of activities, including an Easter egg hunt, a unique Easter Bunny chase, a raffle, and a host of classic games: Hang Tough, Beat the Buzzer, and Marble Madness among them. There was no shortage of competitive spirit, and plenty of laughter to go with it.
The event also served as a timely showcase for the popular new facility, which continues to be a welcome addition to the heart of the village. Funds raised on the day will go towards the group’s ongoing development plans, the next phase of which is already in the pipeline.
Gowran on the Move were full of praise for those who came along: “It was fantastic to see so many turn out, and we’re incredibly grateful for everyone’s continued contributions.”
With a first event like this under their belt, Gowran on the Move will be looking forward to what comes next.
