Members of the Eastern Environs Community Group recently completed a six-week KCETB ‘Digital Awareness Programme’ and received their certificates from Community Education Facilitator, Siobhán O’Brien, last Wednesday.
Speaking at the presentation, Ms O’Brien noted that the programme was specifically designed for mature learners. She praised the group for wholeheartedly embracing the course and for their enthusiasm throughout.
Ms O’Brien also highlighted the positive outcomes of empowerment and confidence that come from lifelong learning.
On behalf of the group, Chairperson Mary Deegan thanked Ms O’Brien and Fiona Dunne for their unwavering support. Mary gave special thanks to course tutor Mike Kealy, who delivered complex instruction with kindness, patience, and clarity.
The event concluded with the presentation of certificates, followed by tea, homemade cakes, and plenty of friendly conversation.
