Feeling tired all the time

BY CLAIR WHITTY

This is a common complaint from many of you and I hear you, you are not alone. Depending on your age and your lifestyle the answer will be different. But the basic advice will remain the same for most people. A healthy balanced diet, good quality and quantity of sleep, managing stress, daily exercise will all contribute to maintaining your energy levels.

Many of you are managing to get some of these areas under control but are still feeling tired. Small changes can make a significant difference to your energy.

Simply adding extra nutrients to your daily diet could help. For example, Spirulina, this is a natural source of Iron, B Vitamins and Protein. This could be added to your smoothie or fruit drink and is perfect to support energy levels. Bee Pollen is a good source of Amino Acids, the building blocks of protein, they are a natural source of B Vitamins and support immunity too. Chia seeds contain magnesium, omega oils and a host of beneficial nutrients and are an easy addition. Adequate water is important, or drinking Herbal teas like Pukka Revitalise will help fluid levels. Sugar, excess carbohydrates, fizzy drinks, caffeine and alcohol are all foods that deplete energy so cut back or reduce these foods to see noticeable changes in your energy.

There are lots of supplements that you could consider, one that we have recommended for over 20 years is Strath, Biostrath as it was formerly known. It is best taken in liquid form three times a day. It is a great source of vitamins and minerals. It is suitable for children, adults, pregnant women, and the elderly. It is great too for recovery after illness. If you think your tiredness could be from low iron then consider Floradix Liquid Iron. For those of you that prefer tablets take a look at supplements that are free from fillers or binders, additives and colours, Pure Encapsulations, Viridian and Terranova are just some of the ranges that you can choose from.

Flower Essences like Jan De Vries Revitalise is one to take a look at. It can help to lift your mood and boost your energy. You simply take it on those days when you need an extra boost.

We are here to help you find natural ways to support energy levels daily.
