US Healthcare provider and insurer UPMC is to create 60 new jobs in Kilkenny over the next three years.
The company is to open a global technology operations centre at MacDonagh Junction in Kilkenny City to support its ongoing international expansion.
The jobs will mainly be in IT areas including network, systems and security engineers and analysts.
UPMC currently employs 475 staff here in Ireland and has been operating in the South East since 2006.
The investment in Kilkenny is being supported by Government through IDA Ireland.
Kilkenny County Council Chair Peter Cleere delighted to welcome this investment.
“It is fantastic news and is a real vote of confidence in Kilkenny and our strong brand.
“I note in particular, that UPMC in making its decision to locate in here referenced the availability of highly skilled talent.”
