Climb with Charlie


Charlie Bird and his wife Claire visited Kilkenny last Saturday March 19th to take part in a fundraising walk, organised by Cllr. Joe Malone.
The walking group gathered at the Canal Square where musical entertainment was provided at the band stand.
The walk began by walking down the canal onto the Bennettsbridge Road to finish at Kilkenny Castle.
Charlie and his wife were greeted by school children from St. John’s Senior School, Ballybough Street along the route.
Joey Holden, captain of the 2015 All-Ireland title winning season presented a hurl to Charlie Bird and Charlie’s wife Claire was presented with a bouquet of flowers gifted by Flowers by Lucy.

All monies raised will go to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association and Pieta House.
