The Clontubrid 6km Run on Sunday 26th April was organised by the Parents’ Council of Scoil Naomh Fiachra, the annual event raises vital funds for the school while also bringing the wider community together. Runners of all ages took part in the main 6km race, while a 3km option catered for those seeking a gentler pace. Adult winners of the 6km race were Paul Burke and Annemarie Donohue, while the Under 17 winners were Anna Dowling, Jack Fitzpatrick and Aidan Banville. Afterwards, the school grounds were filled with refreshments, games, raffles and plenty of conversation and laughter. Principal Peter Madden thanked the Parents’ Council, volunteers and wider school community for their support. He also thanked local businesses for generously sponsoring raffle prizes and supporting another successful community event.
