Live Work Visit Invest Kilkenny’ a must for business and the public on November 7th

At the launch of the ‘Live Work, Visit, Invest Kilkenny’ showcase which takes place at St Canice’s Cathedral on Saturday, November 7, were Tim Butler Director of Services Kilkenny County Council; An Cathaoirleach, Cllr Joe Malone; Aileen McGrath Head of Enterprise Kilkenny County Council and Tom Sloyan WeDo Workspaces.

Free registration is now open for companies or members of the public who want to be part of the ‘Live Work, Visit, Invest Kilkenny’ showcase at St Canice’s Cathedral early next month. The wealth of attractive career and lifestyle opportunities Kilkenny has to offer will be showcased to locals and visitors alike as businesses of all sizes join forces with agencies in the city and county for the not-to-be-missed live event from 10am until lunchtime on Saturday, November 7.

‘Live, Work, Visit, Invest Kilkenny’ takes place in the stunning surroundings of St Canice’s Cathedral. Attendees will have a unique opportunity to browse at their leisure, connect directly with local businesses and discover how they can grow their career in The Marble City and surrounding towns and villages.

Companies who wish to attend or exhibit on the day and showcase vacancies and liaise with the public are invited to register now by emailing move@investkilkenny.ie  and book their spot for the free event. Places are limited and offered on a first come basis.

Members of the public interested in seeing what jobs are on offer and why Kilkenny is such a great place to live, work and raise a family are also encouraged to register for free now, through Eventbrite. Several large multinationals, indigenous companies, hotels, service providers and more have already signed up and are eager to recruit.

Throughout the morning session, Kilkenny’s careers, lifestyle and community strengths will be showcased through networking and ambassador panels highlighting opportunities and growth, Joe Malone, Cathaoirleach, Kilkenny County Council said.

“We encourage as many people as possible to join us for this showcase event in the heart of medieval Kilkenny. So many people from all over Ireland and abroad have made Kilkenny their home. It’s a great place to live, work, invest, socialise and raise a family. There’s so much to see and do and we are delighted to reinforce that through this free event which really drives home the great work/life balance that can be achieved here.”

Cllr Malone added
“Future-proofing the economic and social fabric of our city and county is very much part of our remit as a local authority. It’s great to see the energy and enthusiasm and inter-agency cooperation that is at the heart of this showcase event. I’d strongly encourage interested companies and employers to book their slot and ask people to register and be part of it now”.

Live Work Visit Invest Kilkenny will run from 10am right through to 1pm and members of the public will be able to enjoy panel discussions and even catch a live podcast recording of The Simpler Life? with James Kavanagh and William Murray during the event. Both have made Kilkenny their base, having moved here from Dublin, partly thanks to the widespread availability of Fiber Broadband in Kilkenny.

Attendees will get an exclusive opportunity to chat with employers and get the inside scoop on available job roles. Business and Broadband representatives will be ready to answer questions and help you find the perfect fit, based on your interests and experience.

Plus, with support from Taste Kilkenny and Visit Kilkenny, it’s a fantastic way to experience the city’s charm and vibrant social scene — a wonderful place to live and work.
