Are you studying for exams and struggling to retain what you are learning? This is a common problem that many students experience. There may be several reasons why this is happening.
Start with a healthy diet and include complex carbohydrates, fruit and vegetables, nuts and seeds. Include meat, fish and dairy if you are not vegan or vegetarian. Reduce all sugars and processed foods.
Healthy sleep can support energy, mood, and even your memory. Aim for at least 8 hours per night.
Hydration is crucial, drink plenty of fluids, preferably water, but herbal teas are ok too. Lack of hydration can affect memory, contributes to tiredness, and can cause headaches which could put you off your study.
Gentle exercise is good in general but is very important to get some time away from the desk and move a little. It is good for you to keep in touch with your friends and not isolate yourself during intense study periods.
