Do you fancy a cup of herbal tea? I talked about Hawthorn tea recently. I am drinking it to support my heart health. It tastes ok, I don’t think you can say that all herbal tea is nice, but they are a great addition to your daily diet. Hawthorn tea is an ideal addition to your healthy heart regime to help maintain normal blood pressure.

I have recently started drinking Salus Haus Lemon Verbena, which I picked up by accident. I don’t know how as the box is a totally different colour to the Lemon Balm which I normally use. Anyway, I decided to keep it and check out what it is good for. It turns out that it is a good tea to have after dinner as a digestive aid. And it is a good tea to help calm the mind and the body, and is traditionally used to help relieve stress and nervousness. That suits me perfectly so it will become a regular.

Another favourite of mine is Lemon Balm, I use the Salus Haus Brand. I like this one because I it is helpful to aid relaxation and anxiety. It was used as far back as the Middle Ages to reduce anxiety and stress, and to promote sleep. You will see it in a lot of sleep remedies.

A customer’s favourite is to take one Lemon Balm and one Camomile tea bag in the one cup and leave to sit for five minutes. Drink this about one hour before bed. She told me that it works a treat for her every time she needs to unwind and relax to get a good night’s sleep. Camomile is traditionally used to soothe digestion and has a reputation in helping with sleep. The lady says she has used it on and off for years and it always works, so I thought I would share this tip with you.

This time of year, Pukka Elderberry and Echinacea Tea is a great one to have in the cupboard, this one does taste nice. Elderberry is traditionally used for respiratory support and has antiviral properties; Echinacea too has antiviral properties and is known to help support the normal function of the immune system.

Plants from nature are our best friend. They support and help us through our journey in life.
