Savour Kilkenny Food Festival one to remember as 57,000 attend


It is estimated that 57,000 people attended the 15th annual Savour Kilkenny Food Festival 2023. Taking place across numerous different Kilkenny venues as well as food markets on the Parade, families and food enthusiasts enjoyed a wide range of cookery demonstrations, sell-out events and workshops.

Savour Kilkenny offered a star-studded line-up that delighted visitors from near and far. Taking to the stage over the four day festival included iconic Ballymaloe chefs, Darina Allen, Rachel Allen and Rory O’Connell, renowned culinary experts Kevin Dundon, Jess Murphy, Arun Kapil, Edward Hayden and Anne Neary as well as lifestyle experts Derval O’Rourke and Nathalie Lennon.

Chef Kevin Dundon said:

“I was delighted to be asked to take part in Savour Kilkenny this year. What an atmosphere across the weekend! Kilkenny has always been welcoming to me and the joy of sharing food tips and ideas with fellow food lovers at Savour is truly unparalleled.”

The weekend also ensured a memorable experience for the entire family. The festival provided Halloween-themed activities that catered to children, including a teddy bear’s picnic, a Young Food Producers’ Market and a fun-filled Hallowe’en cooking class. Additionally, the much-anticipated Madra Monday was hosted by singer Jake Carter, bringing joy and excitement to all attendees and their pets.
