MAYOR ANDREW McGUINNESS – WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT


Mayor Andrew McGuinness who recently visited Nowlan Park to chat with the under-16 Kilkenny Gaelic footballers on the occasion of the centenary year of James Nowlan’s death, who was a former GAA President and Alderman on Kilkenny County Council.

He shared with the young men encouraging words to continuously improve themselves as individuals on and off the field to better their team.

Mayor McGuinness commended the County Board for entering an underage Gaelic football team in inter-county competition.

He wished those involved with the promotion of Gaelic games every success and that the people of Kilkenny support all teams that wear the Black & Amber of Kilkenny.
