How long is the programme?
The training is 5 days a week for 4 weeks followed by 1 week of work experience.
The course will be Face 2 Face and will include:
- Face to face at a central location in Kilkenny
- Participants will receive an industry recognised certificate upon completion
- Travel costs to the venues will be covered
Learners will get a behind the scenes tour of Smithwick’s Experience
What does the programme cover?
The course will cover key tourism and hospitality skills and training including; mixology, barista training, bar and service skills, customer service excellence, tourism site visits and one-to-one coaching
Will I keep my income support?
During the course you will retain your Social Welfare payment subject to continued eligibility.
Can I apply for the programme?
If you are interested in a career in hospitality, this is a great course to get you started! The programme is open to over 18s only.
