Army marches on Nowlan Park

MEMBERS of our Defence Forces have marched on UPMC Nowlan Park.

They are the first local troops to lend their services to help fight the Coronavirus as the HSE sets up a virus testing operation at the local GAA grounds.

The model, The Kilkenny Observer understands, will be based on the very successful testing centre that is already in operation in Croke Park.

A marquee tent has already been erected in a car park area at the O’Loughlin Gaels end of the ground, a facility that will be the hub of testing.
