It was a very busy weekend all round for the Kilkenny Stars teams. Our CluneTech Kilkenny Stars National League team came up just short in Galway who scored a basket with 4 seconds left to snatch the lead and ultimately win the game. The Ladies had been down as much as 20 points in the game after a slow start and came back to take the lead in the 4th quarter in the final stages. However, it wasn’t to be for them and they now set their sights on Tolka Rovers who are next up.
The U15 boys made it 2 from 2 wins to go top of the table with a victory in Enniscorthy following on from a hard fought win on the road at Waterford Vikings.
Our U14 Boys kicked off their campaigns with our Black and Orange squads playing each other with the Black squad coming out on top.
Our young Mens team kicked off their campaign against last years champions and found out what it is like playing Division One basketball. Coach Jason BArry can take some positives from the game as they move on to face New Ross Sparks in their next fixture.
The Under 11 Boys & Girls stole the show this weekend in their blitzes hosted in Tramore and Kilkenny respectively. Fantastic performances were put in by both teams and they both had lots of fun as they start off on their basketball journeys with the club.
